Exciting news on new content and where to find it in 2026. Hint: I’m joining Substack

Hello and Happy New Year to you all!

I hope the new year is off to a lovely start for you.

Over here, we are braising for a spell of cold air and lots of snow. So, the next few days are looking perfect for some travel planning, and most importantly, putting the final touches to my 2026 publishing calendar.

Looking ahead what 2026 will bring, I wanted to update you on some exciting news. Over the past weeks and months, I have intensively worked on my 2026 content calendar and with the topics and places slowly coming together, I felt both the blog and my Instagram could benefit of some redirection.

As you will have realized, my content on the blog has expanded from mostly travel-based articles to include more recipes and wine reviews. This made sense when I started to write more about it in 2020, after the world shut down and travelling styed tricky for a while.

Lately, however, the site has started to feel a bit all over the place, with no clear direction. While many of you did not seem to bother, it has started to bother me. And working on my 2026 content planning, I made the decision a clear cut is needed.

So, on the Carrots & Tiges travel website, expect the focus moving back to travel with deep dives into new exciting destinations, travel itineraries and hotels. Clearly, the focus will remain on culinary adventures so I will continue to write about destinations worth to explore because of excellent food experiences (among other reasons to visit), up and coming wine regions and regional food traditions (including more ‘where and what to eat’ content).

The first of these guides will be on the site already later this month, particularly covering Milan where the XXV Winter Olympics will kick off on February 6th. Expect to see posts about Where to go for aperitivo in Milan, Where and what to eat in Milan, andTraditional foods of the Italian Alps you must try.

Meanwhile, I am excited to move my travel-inspired recipes, wine recommendations and more wine/beverage-focused content over to my new Substack. Carrots & Tigers Culinary Corner will launch early January and for the time being, will be free to read. So, if you like that content, I’d be thrilled if you would consider subscribing to the new site.

Over at Instagram, Friday will become Cocktail Friday featuring a weekly cocktail recipe; going out in time for you to buy the ingredients (unless you already have them in your pantry) and recreate for the weekend. I will aim to alert you on the next week ingredients in case they will require you to buy a special spirit or ingredient that you might not find easily at your nearby wineshop, grocery or supermarket. Otherwise, I will continue to post updates on travel destinations, hotels, wineries, and recipe alerts there too.

With plenty of new content to come this year, I hope you will find what you are looking for, either here, on Instagram or at my new Substack. Also, are you following me on Bluesky already?

As always, I am keen to get your feedback, questions, and suggestions. Let me know what content you would like to see more.
