It's officially spring! If that's not yet exciting enought, it's also wild garlic season. If like me, you are looking to make the most of the short-lived wild garlic season, these delicious homemade wild-garlic ravioli are the perfect start. Recipe is now live on my blog.

A must when visiting the amazing vineyard area of Bordeaux in France: the totally gorgeous town of Stain Emilion.

Have you been to Bordeaux? Also called the world capital of wine, the city nestled along the Garonne River in southwest France is home to a huge number of wine bars and the leading wine museum in the world, the futuristic Cite du Vin. Though don't miss the many beautiful historic monuments and 18th-19th century mansions.

Charming colourful renaissance buildings along with a large number of parish churches, abbeys, monasteries and chapels make Erfurt one of Germany's most attractive cities to visit. Having been the home of many famous artists and writers, it is also one of several towns in Thuringia looking back to a rich cultural history.

It's Rieslings 588's birthday - the variety was first mentioned in a cellar log documenting the purchase of six vines of Riesling on behalf of Count Katzenelnbogen dated 13th March 1435.

Spring is around the corner and so are trips to the German wine country.
