3 awesome fall-flavoured Gin and Tonics for International Gin and Tonic Day

So with International Gin and Tonic Day coming up on 19th October, and an abundance of autumn produce around, I am sure you will agree that this is the time to pimp our gin and tonics with some of the awesome seasonal flavours.

Below are my three favourite gin and tonics full of exiting fall flavours.

Apple Cider Gin and Tonic

Autumn above all is apple-picking season. Which means, it is also the heights of apple cider production.

If you have not yet discovered apple cider for yourself, I can only recommend getting started. Choosing, ff course, a good quality craft apple cider.

45 ml London Dry Gin
30 ml apple cider
Tonic water
apple slices
cinnamon stick
star anise

Pour gin and apple cider in a cocktail glass over ice and stir. Top up with tonic water. Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon stick, and star anise.

Spiced Pear Gin and Tonic

Pears are decidedly fall but this gin and tonic featuring cinnamon and star anise as well, already spills over into the holiday season.

So if you like it, save the recipe for your Thanksgiving gathering or enjoy in the run-up to Christmas.

45 ml London Dry Gin
25 ml of pear juice
45 ml Elderflower tonic water
½ vanilla bean pod
2 slices of pear
cinnamon stick
star anise

Pour gin and pear juice in a glass over ice. Stir. Top up with tonic water. Garnish with pear slices, vanilla bean pod, cinnamon stick, and star anise.

Pumpkin Spiced Gin and Tonic

If you already follow my blog for a while, you will have seen a lot of pumpkin whatever lately. So to make it official: Yes, I am totally over the moon with pumpkins. I perhaps love them more than asparagus. And that, coming from a German, the nation of asparagus addicts, it’s quite something.

And nothing, really nothing says fall to me more than a large pot of pumpkin spice latte. So of course, I also had to make pumpkin spiced gin and tonic.

45 ml London Dry Gin
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
20 ml lemon juice
20 ml simple syrup
45 ml tonic water
lemon slice

Fill pumpkin spice into a tea bag, put into the gin and infuse 10-15 minutes.

Pour pumpkin spice infused gin in a cocktail glass over ice. Add lemon juice and simple syrup. Stir lightly, then top up with tonic water.

Garnish with a lemon slice.
