The perfect cocktail to celebrate National Margarita Day

There is no particular excuse needed to enjoy a nice margarita cocktail. But certainly, National Margarita Day (celebrated annually on 22nd February) is the perfect occasion to level up your margarita game with a new, unusual variation of the classic cocktail.

For this National Margarita Day, I was inspired by the already warmer weather (with some definite hints of spring when the sun is out these days), and the countdown to the Easter weekend having started with shops already selling all sorts of Easter chocolate treats.

Spicy Carrot Margarita

The combination of carrot juice and tequila is certainly a fairly unusual one, but this Carrot Margarita is super refreshing, zingy, and a lot of fun. I mean, just look at that vibrant orange in the glass!

This is a great cocktail to celebrate National Margarita Day, but it’s absolutely perfect for Easter brunch or a spring awakening party or maybe your next Cinco de Mayo party. The bright orange, pepped with a bit of green thanks to the basil garnishing will brighten up any occasion.

If you have a juicer at home, you can make your own carrot juice for this recipe.  Otherwise, you can easily use store bought carrot juice. It works perfectly and cuts down preparation time to just few minutes.
